Construction Law in Latvia

Just recently Latvia had the fastest growing economy in the European Union and construction was very important to its growth and was rapidly evolving. The growing demand in construction and housing instigated the development of legislation. Now the growth of construction has stopped and is plummeting headlong. Latvia's economy is arguably the worst in Europe. Nevertheless, the legislation stays and the developed construction regulations will be a good base for future growths in the market.

Therefore the author would like to outline the basic construction laws, regulations and institutions which shape today's feeble building processes. In addition, the author would like to give general overview to step-by-step construction process as well.
