Civil liberties lawyer Harvey Silverglate claims it’s more like three -- and federal laws, at that. Whether it’s a minor traffic infraction or crossing the street outside the crosswalk, or, believe it or not, connecting to the wrong open WiFi network, it is part of living in an increasingly regulated world that it has become hardly possible to engage in any pursuit without implicating some obscure -- or obvious -- local, state, federal law or regulation.
