Benchmarking

In practise, benchmarking is a comparison method in order to assess and/or to evaluate a performance making a comparison with others performances of the same type. The comparison can be considered a basic element of the benchmarking process and it is very important to apply in the context of large multinational companies where comparison with other companies operating in the same market is essential to have a good overview of what is happening in the market and to achieve an adequate and effective business plan future program for that market.
